Grass Seed Shady Park Northern
GROWS IN THE SHADE IT’S GUARANTEED
It performs best when sown in shady, cool, moist areas, it prospers in the open during northern winters. Recommended mowing height when in partial shade is 0.5 to 1.5 inches, while a two-inch height is advisable when sown in deep shade. It does well at a ph range of 5.0 to 7.0 and requires moderate fertility. When used as a shade grass, it should be sown at the rate of 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet. While it may be used alone under these conditions, it may be mixed with either fescue or a bluegrass.
